The Art Gallery of Nova Scotia has been given 2,070 Annie Leibovitz photographs, a major gift from a Toronto family with no strong connection to Nova Scotia. The children of Al and Faye Mintz wanted to honour their father and late mother, who loved Ms. Leibovtiz’s work. Ray Cronin, director and CEO of the gallery, sees this as a gift to Canada as a whole.
